Where can I park when visiting Saint John's?
A small parking lot is located on the east side of the church. Ample on-street parking is located on East Main Street and Dock Street. Parking is also available (Sunday mornings only) in the parking lot at Suglia's Restaurant accessed from River Street.
Where do I enter and where do I go?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may only enter through the East Entrance doors (on the right when facing the church) where our friendly greeters will welcome you and direct you. Wayfaring signs are also located throughout the building to assist you.
Is the church building accessible to those with disabilities?
Saint John's is an accessible facility. Reserved parking spaces are available in the parking lot adjacent to the church building and directly in front of the church on East Main Street. Access ramps are located at the West Entrance to the first floor and at the River Street Entrance to the lower level. An elevator can be found inside the West Entrance. Accessible seating is available in the Sanctuary and our restrooms meet ADA standards. Please speak to a greeter or usher if you need additional assistance.
How do I plan an event at the church?
WEDDINGS - It is advisable to contact the Church Office as soon as possible to reserve the date on the church calendar.
BAPTISMS are conducted as a part of our worship service. Please contact the Church Office for more information.
FUNERALS may be held in the Chapel or Sanctuary depending on size and circumstances. Please contact the Church Office as soon as possible so that all arrangements can be made in a timely manner.
RENTALS have been paused at this time, however when they resume, rentals are available by contacting the Church Office and completing a facilities request form. We have several venues depending on the size of your group. Please contact the Church Office to ensure that the date and venue are available.
How do become a member of Saint John's?
Membership at Saint John's can be obtained by Letter of Transfer for those who are in good standing in a Christian Church. Adult confirmation and new member classes are scheduled as needed. Please contact the Church Office for additional information.
