Text Box: Corporate Worship We were created to praise God, our Creator and Redeemer. We seek to be a people who gather together to worship God in spirit and truth, rendering unto God a worthy offering. Worship Services Sunday Worship is traditionally based and includes hymns, scripture readings, a children’s message and sermon based on the Revised Common Lectionary. The one-hour service is held in the Sanctuary. Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month. Mid-Week Services are held each Wednesday during Advent and Lent. The informal 40-minute service is held in the Chapel and includes singing, prayers, and a brief message. Mite Family Worship Room is available at the rear of the Sanctuary for parents with young children. The room faces the Chancel and has speakers so that parents may continue to worship in a relaxed setting. Music Ministries Chancel Choir - Wednesdays @ 6:30pm The Chancel Choir sings at most worship services September through May. It is open to all members of the congregation who are able to sing on pitch and follow basic music notation. Additional members join us to present the Christmas cantata. Sunday School Choir - Sundays @ 10:15am Children in the “Footsteps” Sunday School spend part of their time together each week learning a variety of traditional and contemporary children’s songs related to their lesson theme. Genesis Bells - 1st & 3rd Sundays @ 11:15am The Genesis Bells is for beginners Grade 4 - adult with little or no music experience. We rehearse October through April and play a few times per year using 2 octaves of Malmark Choirchimes. Joyful Ringers - 2nd & 4th Sundays @ 11:15am This bell choir is open to those Grade 7 - adult with basic music skills and some prior handbell experience. We play 4-5 times per year using 3 octaves of Malmark Handbells & Choirchimes. Worship/Arts/Music Team - 1st Wednesday @ 5:30pm This group coordinates all details related to our worship services music program. The team is also responsible for maintaing our church’s musical instruments and managing the music library. Altar Guild - The Altar Guild is responsible for caring for the altarware and paraments as well as preparing the elements for for each Communion service. Celebration Series - Throughout the year, the WAM team sponsors special arts and music events.
